Training Contents
- Objectives of promoting clients' rights and providers' rights. The objectives of promoting of clients' rights and providers' rights-duties are: 1. To improve client-oriented service of health providers. 2. To promote greater awareness among the population of rights to health and appropriate health seeking behavior. 3. To promote greater awareness among health service providers of their rights and responsibilities in delivering health services. 4. To improve ethical practices of health service providers.

General Objective
- The general objective of the advanced training of trainers for behavior change communication/ interpersonal communication in health is to equip health workers and community development workers with skills and knowledge on positive change in health of their clients and communities, health education and health promotion technique and methods that enable them to organize training course by themselves effectively and efficiently.
Specific objectives
At the end of five day-training, the participants will be able to:
- Identify and explain the concept of behavior change communication for health promotion;
- Discuss and practice Interpersonal communication, Counseling;
- Discuss facilitation skills and participatory teaching methods;
- Discuss roles of good BCC Trainers;
- Discuss and practice Writing session plan;
- Dry-run and field teaching practice at the community.
V. Community Health Promotion Management
- Training to PHDs, ODs, NGOs, IOs
- Total training: 9
General Objective
- The general objective of the Community Health Promotion Management is to provide community health promoters with basic knowledge, skills and experiences of health promotion and management that will enable them to implement their work effectively and efficiently.
Specific objectives
At the end of five-day training, the participants will be able to:
- Understand concept of health education, health promotion and behavior change communication to apply for HIV/AIDS;
- Discuss community participation in health sector in Cambodia;
- Discuss on inter-sectoral collaboration and concept of sustainability;
- Develop action plan;
- Discuss on importance of management, manager's roles, and type of management;
- Discuss on stakeholder motivations and conflict resolutions;
- Discuss on methodology of data collection, data analysis and field work.
VI. Training on Planning Monitoring and Evaluation
- Training to PHDs, ODs, NGOs, IOs
- Total training: 5
General Objective
- To strengthen the capacity of NGOs who are involved in participatory planning, monitoring and evaluating for health promotion activities according to Ministry of Health Strategic Plan, enabling them to perform their current work more effectively and efficiently, thereby contributing to a reduction in the morbidity and mortality rates of Cambodian people, especially children and women.
Specific objectives
At the end of six day-training, the participants will be able to:
- Identify and explain the concept of management of health related project/program.
- Conduct planning, monitoring and supervision of health activities.
- Identify the different between monitoring, evaluation and types of evaluation in health education/health promotion activities/programs.
- Develop evaluation plans.
- Discuss and practice developing evaluation methods, indicators and tools for evaluating their project/programs.
- Coltrlect and analyze data by using LQAS for writing reports on Health Promotion activities.
- And field visit.
VII. Training on Primary Health Care Implementation
- Training to PHDs, ODs, NGOs, IOs
- Total training: 6
General Objective
- The purpose of Primary Health Care (PHC) Implementation training is to increase and strengthen capacity of participants on implementation of PHC that enable them to implement their works according to the Ministry of Health 's PHC policy and guideline and new health system effectively and efficiently.
Specific objectives
At the end of six day- training, the participants will be able to:
- Discuss and understand Ministry of Health's New Heath System, Annual Operational Plan.
- Understand concept and elements of primary health care,
- Discuss on Primary Health Care Policy and Guideline, and its implementation.
- Share experiences on how to sustain PHC activities at community level by collaborating between GO, NGOs and Community,
- Discuss and practice analyzing and prioritizing problems and preparing the activities plan,
- Field visit.
VIII. Community Integrated Management Childhood Illness (C-IMCI)
- TOT to PHDs, ODs staffs: 8

IX. Community campaign on:
1. Delivery by trained providers = 12
General Objective:
- To increase number of reproductive health to do delivery by trained provider at the health center.
Specific objective
- To increase the knowledge of reproductive women to understand of useful of antenatal care;
- To increase the number of women to understand the useful of delivery by trained providers;
- To improve the number of women to access delivery at the health center.
Target groups
- Main target: women reproductive and pregnant women;
- Accessorily target: husband, fathers, mothers, and brothers sisters.
2. Safe motherhood = 3
General Objective:
- To increase number of man and reproductive woman to understand at the safe motherhood.
Specific objective
- To increase the knowledge of man and reproductive women to understand of useful of safe motherhood;
- To increase the number of pregnant women to use the antenatal care serves and understand the useful of antenatal care
- To improve the pregnant women take fer/acid folic 90 tablets before delivery and continuous 42 tablets after delivery;
- To improve the number of pregnant women to always be delivered by trained providers to reduce the mother and child risks.
Target groups
- Main target: husbands, and wife;
- Accessorily target: men and women in reproductive health 18-49 years.
3. Condom used = 1
General Objective:
- To increase number of man and reproductive woman to understand at the safe motherhood.
Specific objective
- To increase the knowledge of man and reproductive women to understand of useful of safe motherhood;
- To improve the number of pregnant women to use the antenatal care serves and understand the useful of antenatal care
- To increase the pregnant women take fer/acid folic 90 tablets before delivery and continuous 42 tablets after delivery;
- To improve the number of pregnant women to always be delivered by trained providers to reduce the mother and child risks.
Target groups
- Main target: husbands, and wife;
- Accessorily target: men and women in reproductive health 18-49 years.
4. Campaign on Clients' Rights: 1
General Objective:
- To increase number of clients to understand and to use public health services.
Specific objective
- To increase the knowledge of population of understanding on clients' rights;
- To improve the number of clients to use the public health services
Target groups
- Main target: husbands, and wife;
- Accessorily target: men and women in reproductive health 18-49 years.
5. Community Health Forum: 4
General Objective:
- To improve client-oriented service of health providers.
- To promote greater awareness among the population of rights to health and appropriate health seeking behavior.
- To promote greater awareness among health service providers of their rights in delivering health services.
- To improve ethical practices of health service providers.
Target groups
- Main target: general population.
X. Training on food hygiene:
- TOT to PHDs: 1 = 20 participants
- TOT on food hygiene for pregnant women = 16 trainings
- Community food hygiene: 3 = 119 participants
- Community food hygiene: 7 = 286 participants
XI. BCC Forum:
Purpose
- The purpose of a BCC forum is to share lesson learned from BCC activities among provincial health promotion units and relevant stakeholders working in the area of health promotion at the provincial level.
Expectations
- Short-term: Share BCC materials, knowledge and experience, action plans and coordination of health promotion activities on a quarterly basis.
- Long-term: Document and share experience in other areas so as to contribute to improving policies, protocols and guidelines for health promotion on an annual basis.
Target groups
- PHD in charge of programs, ODs, HCs,
- Provincial relevance: provincial education youth and sport, women affair, and information.
- Private clinic,
- NGOs/IOs
- Provincial, district, commune authorities;
- Community representative: HCMC, VHSGs
