During the period 2005-2010, the NCHP Finance Office of 5 finance staff, has managed EU/UNICEF funding worth US$ 7 million over 6 year project implementation in support to BCC activities of the NCHP and 24 provinces. Finance staff of the NCHP and 24 provinces have received training on UNICEF financial procedure call HACT (Harmonization of Cash Transfer) including budget request, liquidation, monitoring and reporting since 2005. In addition the NCHP finance staff have implemented and monitored the national budget around US$ 500,000 per year.
For EU/UNICEF funding regular checking of financial implementation is conducted every quarter through checking on quarterly request and liquidation reports with routine feedback. For government budget, an audit was implemented every year by the auditor and there were no issues and abnormal cases reported up to now.
